Abilene ISD proudly recognized the dedication and commitment of longtime employees and retirees during the annual Service Awards and Retiree Reception on Tuesday, May 6, at Abilene Christian University’s Hunter Welcome Center.

The event celebrated 128 employees who have reached service milestones ranging from 15 to 50 years, as well as 53 retirees whose impact spans generations of students and families across the district.

The district’s longest-tenured employee honored this year was Jim Waddle, who works in the district’s warehouse and has an incredible 50 years of service. Randy Sparks, a member of the AISD maintenance team, was recognized for 45 years of service, while Jo Campbell (special education) and Stephanie Eaves (student nutrition) were honored for reaching 40 years in education.

Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees, and thank you for your service!
